How to make an origami bookmark corner

Turn an old leaflet into a useful bookmark that slips over the corner of your page

What you need:

  • A5 paper
  • Scissors

Step 1: Make a square

Fold over one corner until you can line up the edges into a triangle.

Cut off the excess strip of paper.

Turn the triangle so the long folded edge is at the bottom

Step 2: Fold the corners

Fold the lower right corner up to meet the top point of the triangle.

Repeat for the left side.

Fold these two corners back open.

Fold down ONE of the top sheets so that the point meets the bottom of the triangle. Make a crease

Step 3: Tuck the ends in

Now fold the right-hand point you’ve created back up and tuck it INTO your bookmark.

Repeat on the other side.

Step 4: Never lose your place, or your bookmark, again!

Slip your bookmark over the corner of your page to mark your place!
